Intimate Tribeca Wedding
Ken + Danny
Ken + Danny
We are obsessed. This intimate Tribeca wedding had us jumping up and down with joy from the moment we stepped into Ken + Danny’s hotel room until we left the reception. First, we love LGBTQIA+ weddings. Love. They feel like a warm hug to us. I am a bisexual woman, and being around amazing queer people while photographing their true love and emotions is a joy I cannot properly express.
Ken and Danny are the type of people you never want to leave once you’ve met them. They are the definition of kindness and generosity and love. We walked into their hotel room at The Standard and were immediately enveloped into their inner circle. That is a rare and beautiful feeling, and I’m legitimately tearing up just thinking about it. But then we met Ken and Danny’s friends and family. And holy moly… they are some of the most amazing people we’ve ever photographed.
They had their ceremony at the Washington Market Park in Tribeca with One World Trade as a backdrop. They are so hilarious, they did a coin flip in the middle of the ceremony to decide who had to read their vows first! And let me tell you… their vows were incredible. Then they celebrated their nuptials with cocktails and dinner at VCafé where the incredible owner created an entire custom menu for Ken and Danny. Every single place setting for every single guest had a personal, hand-written note from Ken and/or Danny about how special that guest is to the grooms. *Excuse me while I stop sobbing.*
The speeches from Danny’s sister and Ken’s best friend had us trying to take photos through blurry, teary eyes. And we were lucky enough to get to eat cookies made by their amazing bridesmaid, Audra, who also happens to be The Baker Chick.
We are so grateful that we got to photograph this intimate Tribeca wedding. And we feel luckier in life that we got to know Ken and Danny in the process.
