Senior Portraits in New York

After sharing Jack’s back-to-school kindergarten photos, I thought the next logical step would be to share Reese’s senior portraits. Documenting major life events is one of my favorite parts of this career. It’s always a joy to be a part of something so special and monumental. Reese and her family flew all the way from Florida so she could have these one-of-a-kind senior portraits in New York City.

One of the best parts about New York is the way it offers a captivating backdrop that allows senior portraits to be more than just portraits. The city’s iconic landmarks, from Brooklyn Bridge to the urban oasis of Central Park, provide a diverse and colorful canvas for graduates to showcase their personalities while embracing the essence of the city that never sleeps.

Reese was absolutely devasted that we had a rainy morning for her session. We weren’t able to change the schedule because of their flight home the next day, but I assured her the rain wouldn’t dampen our fun. Well… we ended up having an absolute blast in the rain, and when she saw the finished product, she was so happy with each and every photo. I personally think the rain added an extra bit of flair to the photos which totally matched her vibe!

Whether it’s the cobblestone streets of Greenwich Village, the artsy flair of Williamsburg, or the classic charm of the Upper East Side, each neighborhood in New York can offer a unique flavor that resonates with any and every graduates’ personal style and goals. These portraits aren’t just images; they’re reflections of the graduate’s journey and the city’s diversity, encapsulated in a single frame.
