Wedding at The Liberty House

This wedding at the Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ was between two of the loveliest humans we’ve met. All of our clients are wonderful people because we won’t work with people who aren’t at least as awesome as us. And yes… that was meant to be obvious sarcasm. Anyone who has met our clients knows they’re all WAY cooler than us. And Ashley and John were definitely one of those way-cooler-than-us couples.

Looking back through the photos to make this blog post brought back all the fun emotions from their wedding day. From the love between Ashley and John to the love between Ashley and John and Enzo, their dog, to some of the most breathtaking decorations we’ve seen, this wedding was an absolute joy to photograph.

We spent a good half an hour just photographing the light streaming through the windows lining the reception hall onto all the decked out tables and we still feel like we couldn’t quite capture exactly how beautiful it was. Weddings at the Liberty House are always a joy to photograph, but this wedding in particular oozed class. You would think with all the planning and forethought that went into a wedding like this that the bride and/or groom would be high-strung or nightmarish but Ashley and John couldn’t be further from those descriptions. They were so laid back and carefree the entire day.

Most of our couples are most comfortable laughing and joking with each other and keeping things light. While this was definitely still the case with Ashley and John, they were also able to absolutely nail the serious looks. They’re a rare breed indeed.
